Prevent gang and gun violence



Earlier today, York Regional Police HQ in Aurora, alongside Minister Dominic LeBlanc , Minister Arif Virani, MP Francesco Sorbara, MP Tony Van Bynen , Premier Doug Ford, Solicitor General of Ontario Michael Kerzner, and Chief of York Police Jim MacSween to announce that our federal government is investing $121 million through Public Safety Canada’s Initiative to Take Action Against Gun and Gang Violence (ITAAGGV).

This collaboration with our provincial and law enforcement partners marks a significant step towards our shared goal of combating serious and organized crime, and ensuring that our communities remain safe for all.

On February 8th, our government will be hosting a National Summit on Combating Auto Theft in Ottawa.We are committed to working together with all levels of government, and stakeholders from industry, insurance companies, and our law enforcement partners to keep Canadians safe.
